Plants
Plants are living things that grow on land or in water and are everywhere
Topic 1- the leaf
The leaf is one the most important part of the plant and is often called “the kitchen of the plant” because of its function of making food for the plant. In the above-given picture, there are two images: the leaf’s front and the leaf’s back. The leaf’s back has holes on it which are called “stomata”. Stomata are microscopic holes that can’t be seen by the naked human eye, they help the plant breathe and in the process refine all the contaminated air filled with carbon dioxide and turn it into breathable oxygen. Many people might have thought that” where does the green color of a leaf come from?” The answer is: chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is a green pigment which is in the leaves that give it the iconic green color.
Fun Fact: If all the chlorophyll is drained from a leaf, it will become translucent.
Topic two: the stem and roots
As roots and stems are connected, they collect minerals from the underground soil and transfer them to the leaves which make the food for the whole plant also using sunlight as a resource.
Topic- 3: the flower
When the flower is full of nutrition it produces the fruit which we eat. There are different uses of a flower, some are used to make medicines some help bees and butterflies to collect nectar, they are used as decorations.
